John Lujan for State Representative - District 118
John Lujan is a husband, father, retired firefighter, small businesses man, coach, Sunday school teacher and community volunteer. Since retiring from the San Antonio Fire Department in 2012, John has continued to serve as a leader at Yash & Lujan (Y&L) Consulting and has helped to grow the small IT business to over 400 employees.
He is also a former member of the Texas House of Representatives serving District 118.
John is the father of five boys, three of whom were adopted by John and his wife of 34 years, Freda.
John has a heart for the community and for serving others. These values were instilled in him since he was young. His parents serve as fine examples of commitment to faith, family and community. His mother is the retired principal of Gallardo Elementary School in the Southside School District, while his father was a retired minister who recently returned to the pulpit at Southside Baptist Church.
Driven by his passion for his community, his deep sense of family, and his faith, John seeks to return to Austin to advocate for better education, fairer taxes, and civil justice for the residents of House District 118.
